Created in 1952, Bouygues Construction is a world leader in the building, civil works and electrictal contracting/maintenance.

1952-1999

The foundations of the Bouygues Group are laid in 1952 when Francis Bouygues forms Entreprise Francis Bouygues, a company specialised in building and industrial works in the Paris region.
From 1952 to 1999, strong growth in the Group’s construction and civil engineering activities internationally. In 1999, the General Meeting of Bouygues’ shareholders approves setting up a separate subsidiary, Bouygues Construction, to hold the construction and civil engineering activities.
