The world's largest concessionary contract for a sports facility

Dragages Singapore is currently building the SportsHub in Singapore. The contract includes financing, designing and constructing a high-level sports venue and operating it for 25 years.

This is the world’s largest public-private partnership contract for a sports facility. The 35-hectare complex is entirely dedicated tosport and leisure activities. It incorporates numerous amenities, including:

- the New NationalStadium, a 55,000-seat sports stadium equipped with a retractable roof andair-conditioned seating,

- an indoor aquaticcentre with space for 6,000 spectators as well as a recreational swimmingfacility available to the general public,

- a 3,000-seatmodular multi-sports hall,

- the existing SingaporeIndoor Stadium, a 12,000-capacity venue,

- an exhibition centre,a sports museum and offices for sports federations,

- shopping facilities andrestaurants.

Located close to the city centre and connected up tothe public transport network, the Sports Hub will become Singapore’s principal sports and leisure facility. It will be open to all types of populations, and will house world-class events, including sports competitions, concerts, exhibitions, conventions, etc

Works began in September and handover is scheduled formid- 2014.
