An annual cycle
The initiatives, at the level both of the Group and of the entities, form part of an annual cycle that makes it possible to create a long-term development strategy. An R&D forum is organized every other year. The June 2007 event was attended by several hundred Group employees who came to share their experiences. To build on this success and promote further interaction between the various populations, the first “Innovation Encounters” were set up in November 2007 with the aim of enabling specific topics to be studied in depth, such as positive-energy consumption buildings, the sustainable construction index, etc. The “Innovation Encounters” take place regularly every quarters.
Other highlights included:
- The inauguration of the Materials Engineering Centre, which carries out R&D and innovation on materials and processes and provides technical assistance to the various companies during preparation of bids and on contracts, and training.
- In addition, a cross-company “Sustainable Construction” structure was set up, which will supply expertise to Bouygues Construction’s technical and sales departments.
