Listening to customers

Illustration listening to customersIn 2006, a customer satisfaction survey practices was carried out among the main Bouygues Construction companies. It pointed to a number of key themes: more regular deployment of surveys, use of specialist organisations to ensure they are conducted to a professional standard and participants can express themselves freely. The majority of Group companies made this initiative a priority for 2007.

Transparency

In 2006, resources were devoted to raising the awareness of employees with regard to transparency issues, particularly the managers of Bouygues Construction. The Bouygues SA Code of Ethics, which clearly sets out the duty of all employees in terms of ethical behaviour, has been distributed to the entire Bouygues Construction workforce.

Additionally in 2006, 150 managers attended a training seminar organised by Bouygues SA, entitled Values and Ethics, which is intended to inform them of Group orientations and help them develop their own ethical action strategy.

In addition to these tools, employee awareness programmes will be rolled out as of 2007 throughout Bouygues Construction companies, so the message can be conveyed more widely and in greater depth.

Commitment to triple certification

Proportion of sales generated by certified subsidiariesThe satisfaction of our customers also involves setting up a continual progress initiative through an integrated Quality-Safety-Environment management system. Bouygues Construction has set itself a target of implementing this across the board. The certification process initiative grew in 2006, particularly for safety and environmental protection.

47% of sales are generated by operating units that have obtained triple certification.

Innovation

Eos GeneraliWhenever the terms of the contract so permit, Bouygues Construction suggests pro-environmental design alternatives and incorporates innovative environmental solutions in its bids and construction methods. To enable it to do this, it is progressively producing specific resources to showcase pro-environmental solutions to its customers (surveys, sales kits, etc.).
