Annual Assessments
Bouygues Construction is keen to monitor the career development of all its employees. We favour an individualised system based on one key tool: the annual assessment. Each employee is assessed every year, in order to review the past twelve months and set targets for the coming year.
The assessment provides a valuable opportunity for dialogue and an exchange of opinions between the employee and his/her manager. As well as setting short-term targets, it should be used to discuss the employee’s medium- and long-term career plans.
Career Guidance Committees
Career Committees meet once a year. The committees review specific employee categories (high potential employees, top management, etc.), focusing specifically on career development.

Training may be occasional or may take the form of a dedicated and targeted course for a given business line. Bouygues Construction proposes the following types of training:
- induction courses in each entity, to learn about the company know-how and methods - these courses are also an opportunity to network.
- dedicated, targeted courses in each business line: Campus Commerce for sales and marketing staff, Campus RH for HR, Périclès, Campus Travaux or Campus Maîtrise for the construction and engineering staff, etc. These comprehensive courses enable employees to develop specialised skills.
- management and / or personal support courses, to improve line managers’ management skills.
- specific training, to be defined with your line manager and the HR department during the annual assessment (language training, personal development, etc.).
Bouygues Construction has also set up training programmes for high-potential managers (Ulysse, Marco Polo).
Courses bring together managers from all Bouygues Construction entities and business lines, and all have a common objective: to boost the acquisition of managerial responsibilities and fast track candidates for future senior management positions.
These courses, which look at global issues, economic factors and corporate management, encourage participants to think more about the position, role and responsibilities of each member of the organisation.
