JUNIOR BUYER

Mission
Under the supervision of an experienced buyer, the junior buyer manages site purchases that have been assigned to him/her.

He/she identifies needs in cooperation with the construction teams and buys materials for sites in accordance with existing framework contracts or by issuing tender invitations to suppliers in order to negotiate off-contract products. He/she seeks new players in upstream markets to develop medium-term partnerships; negotiates European, national and local framework contracts (listings of preferred products and suppliers); and takes part in managing skills within the purchasing network.

The junior buyer serves as the Purchasing policy liaison to sites and suppliers and must be capable of providing expert advice.

HR MANAGER

Mission
Orient, evaluate, train and coordinate.

The HR manager selects, recruits and seeks to retain new employees in coordination with line managers. He/she identifies training needs, develops the annual training plan, and develops and implements the remuneration policy (payroll management). He/she also oversees employees and the management of employment contracts.
The HR manager assists and advises managers with their human resource concerns, including assistance with legal and labour relations issues.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

Mission
Help develop a prevention policy and ensure its implementation.

The occupational health and safety coordinator ensures that statutory and regulatory measures are applied effectively and, through site audits, ensures good working, safety and health conditions for all employees. He/she assists and advises employees concerning this issue (Construction, Methods, Purchasing, Human Resources). In addition, he/she tracks the statistical indicators for work-related accidents (frequency and seriousness rates) and participates in enquiries following work-related accidents or other incidents that may have serious consequences. He/she also helps develop safety instructions related to the organisation’s operations, and designs and implements prevention and awareness campaigns at the organisational level (branch or site). Furthermore, he/she plans and leads prevention training sessions.

JUNIOR AUDITOR

Mission
Ensure that financial, contractual and operational risks are managed and provide solutions for reducing current risks.

At the request of General Management, the audit team carries out the following assignments in France and abroad: general audits of our subsidiaries (quality of financial information, management of contractual and operating risks, internal control, etc.), organisational audits, acquisition audits, legal and tax audits, etc.

The junior auditor participates in all stages of an audit assignment with a team of experienced auditors. During the initial stage, he/she determines the analytical objectives, the timetable and the working methods. He/she then conducts interviews, analyses the current situation, highlights any problems, identifies risks and makes recommendations. Lastly, the auditor prepares an audit report and presents his/her conclusions.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Mission
Transact business deals under optimal conditions.

Depending on the market in which he/she operates, the sales representative transacts business deals by private contract in the context of an open or restricted tender process.

He/she identifies potential decision-makers and new projects in a specific business sector or geographic area and develops and maintains relationships with these decision-makers. During a call for tenders, he/she analyses customer needs, prepares the proposal in coordination with the technical, legal, financial and construction departments, negotiates and proposes the best offer to the customer (technical alternatives, etc.). After signing the contract, he/she hands the project over to the construction staff.

ACCOUNTANT

Mission
Record the company’s financial transactions in the accounting system and meet its legal obligations by keeping the books.

The accountant records billing transactions (suppliers, subcontractors and customers), ensures receivables are collected and pays bills. He/she helps generate economic data for internal and external use and drafts legal documents (VAT returns, local business tax returns, etc.).

The accountant helps prepare accounting statements, such as balance sheets. If necessary, he/she monitors and incorporates accounts from foreign establishments, including the processing of foreign exchange translation differences.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Mission
Provide clear, reliable financial information to support managerial decision-making.

Working in a finance or operational department, the financial controller prepares monthly management reports (consolidation of sales figures and results from operating entities) and analyses estimated and actual results, which he/she puts into perspective. He/she also helps to develop plans and updates and draws up quarterly balance sheets. In addition, he/she helps to update reporting procedures, to create analytical and management tools and to conduct training programmes for management controllers in operating entities. Lastly, the financial controller participates in occasional research on such topics as monitoring disputes and analysing risks, profitability and expenses.

PROPERTY DEVELOPER

Mission
Meet the company’s property needs and manage specially created project platforms.

The property developer identifies needs upstream and designs appropriate real estate projects, most often in the form of a private contract or by means of a tender process.

The developer coordinates the various stages of real estate operations – feasibility study, design, engineering study, legal and financial structures, government approvals, contract management, financial closing, etc. The developer works with a multidisciplinary team that may include, among others, an architect, corporate/institutional customers, financial partners, users, municipal departments, lawyers and builders. He/she manages the team’s interactions, with an obligation to produce results, including responding in due time to the needs expressed by the customer.

Mission
Develop and arrange structured financing for projects.

As a member of multidisciplinary “project” teams, the financial engineering and development specialist studies the various types of financing suitable for Bouygues Construction’s operations (export credit, BOT, concessions, PFI, etc.). He/she develops financial models; selects, oversees and evaluates outside financial consultants; and identifies lenders and/or investors. In addition, he/she has financial assumptions validated by financial institutions and negotiates and sets up the contract’s financial aspects.

FINANCIAL SPECIALIST TREASURY AND FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT

Mission
Arrange the financing necessary for the company’s operations and development while managing risk and controlling financial costs.

The treasury and financial risk management specialist monitors financial transactions, manages the company’s cash position on a daily basis and negotiates banking terms. He/she plans for the company’s growth (investments and borrowing) to ensure financial independence, and centralises and manages financial risks, such as counterparty, interest rate and exchange rate risks. He/she also manages signature commitments (issuance and tracking of guarantees) and oversees banking relations (financial communications with banks and optimisation of terms). In addition, he/she prepares financial reports and provides subsidiaries with assistance and advice concerning their financial management in France and abroad. He/she also analyses the profitability of invested capital and creates decision-support tools for use by general management.

LAWYER

Mission
Secure legal instruments and transactions, help manage risks, organise the defence of the company’s interests.

The lawyer determines the terms and conditions under which the company’s projects are carried out by examining and interpreting statutes and regulations currently in effect. He/she also drafts the necessary legal instruments and contracts for the purpose of executing projects in cooperation with line managers and conducts negotiations with the government authorities and partners concerned. Moreover, he/she develops and recommends structures for carrying out acquisitions and complex operations and monitors disputes in cooperation with outside counsel.
