- For example, in most entities newly recruited site workers are assigned a tutor. Your tutor will be an experienced site worker who will help you to define your career path. He will also be available to answer any questions you may have concerning your day-to-day work on-site or the company generally.
- You may be invited to an induction day at head office, which will allow you to gain a better understanding of topical issues and potential problems. You will meet senior managers from a number of different professions during the day, which aims to be entertaining as well as instructive.
- You may also be offered training on general topics (such as safety) or specific techniques.
- You will be asked to attend an interview at the end of your probationary period, to review the situation with your line manager and define areas in need of improvement.
