Solène, aged 27, business manager
"I didn't have long to wait to find myself heading projects"Originally taken on as an intern by ETDE on graduating from ESME-SUDRIA, Solène is currently business manager on electrical office equipment maintenance sites.
"The business manager is like a conductor of an orchestra. You handle contracts from start to finish, from the sales phases to hand-over, including drawing up estimates and work schedules, arranging supervision of operators, purchasing equipment, monitoring the budget and the hand-over process." Sales are a very important aspect for ETDE. "It is our senior sales staff who bring in the business, by maintaining excellent contact with customers, anticipating their requirements and generally contributing to a good corporate image."
Solène particularly likes the multi-disciplinary aspect of her job. She is involved in the technical side, financial management and site management. She will progress along her career-path by being assigned increasingly complex projects.
