Timothée: I’ve been working for Bouygues for two years now and before that I spent a year here as an intern. Prior to that, I trained at the HEC school of management.
Voice-over: Timothée - Financier
Timothée: What we do is fascinating and the responsibilities were enormous right from the first day. You’re immediately thrown in the deep end and have to go to meetings and begin negotiations – without having to report back to anyone. You take part in our contract launch committee from the outset, working alongside Bouygues Construction management. My job consists in packaging financial offers for concessions and PPP projects. A PPP project is a construction project with a large financial component because there’s a need to borrow money to finance the works.

Timothée: Our job – and we’re the in-house specialists – is to package a financial offer and negotiate the financing terms and conditions with the lender. Having done that, we sign the financial documents and then, once the projects are on-line, we can, where needed, participate in refinancing as well as everything concerning the transfer of companies in which Bouygues Construction holds a share.
We are based at Challenger but because of our job, we are often in our Paris offices, holding meetings with banks or visiting our subsidiaries abroad. Personally, I travel a lot to Hungary, London, Germany and Jamaica.

Timothée: There’s an extremely strong company culture translated by the pleasure people have in coming to work. It’s quite amazing to see pleased they are when they get to the office because they really enjoy working for Bouygues. And it’s great to work in an atmosphere where everyone is motivated, because they’re all specialists and very good at what they do. There’s nothing better than being able to work with specialists all the time.
