Bouygues Construction has devised a Sustainable Development Charter designed to involve its suppliers and subcontractors in its procedures. Appended to contracts, it includes commitments

Responsible purchasing policy

Bouygues Construction’s purchasing policy embraces environmental demands, with the introduction of a data base of products and materials that have been evaluated in terms of their environmental performance and a catalogue of low environmental-impact materials.
An analysis of environmental and health risks has been carried out on most of the products purchased, categorized into 55 families (prefabricated elements, cars, external joinery, curtain walling, etc.). Early trials of fair trade purchasing have also been carried out.
