Bouygues Construction was awarded the design, financing and building of the new multi-sport centre in Budapest. Called the Arena, it replaces the earlier sports complex destroyed by fire in 1999. Depending on the required configuration, the modular layout can be adapted to seat between 7,000 and 12,500 spectators. The centre can host a wide range of sports events (football, tennis, horse riding, surfing and speed skating) as well as large-scale musical events, conferences and exhibitions. Apart from the high quality of the materials used, the safety standards go beyond those imposed by the particularly strict regulations in force.
