Bouygues Construction was the main contractor for the construction of the T1 Tower in the business district of La Defense, the first tower to be certified High Environmental Quality. Designed like a large sheet of glass, the 38 storey office block (it also has four underground levels) is 185 m high. Its vast panoramic platforms provide a total surface area of 70,000 m2.
