Two years of valuable encounters at the Village by CA

"The most valuable encounters are those that help us grow". Two years after the Village by CA opened in June 2014, a village event brought the different players within this ecosystem together. Their shared experiences demonstrated that this belief, which lies at the heart of the project, is fruitful for all stakeholders.

For example, Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France convinced Open Safe, a start-up that ensures equipment safety compliance with regulations, that the Building and Civil Works is a considerable potential market and thus opened its doors to the start-up. Open Safe has since grown through the encounters it has made with different industries at the Village.

When invited to share their experiences, Village by CA residents recalled the collaborations — the valuable encounters — that united them. These twenty-one cases are clear evidence that open innovation is both a lever for digital transformation for major groups and a force for technological and business development for young, innovative companies.

The Village comprises 400 residents, 90 start-ups, 40 partner companies supporting them, 800 annual events linked to innovation, in addition to the sector and functional expertise at their disposal, and a facility open 24/7. But it is also a network of about twenty interconnected Villages in France and 25 locations abroad where start-ups can develop and establish business relationships.
