Bouygues Construction sets up a joint-venture in Qatar

Bouygues Construction has just set up Bouygues Construction Qatar, a joint-venture in association with HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani, a political and economic figurehead in Qatar. The formation of this joint-venture constitutes an essential step in readying ourselves for the forthcoming tendering processes, most notably in the fields of transport infrastructure and sports facilities.

Bouygues Bâtiment International, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, is currently building the Qatar Petroleum District project in Doha, a vast real estate complex comprising nine towers (18 to 52 storeys), across an area of over 700,000 m2 (equivalent to a quarter of the entire La Défense business district in Paris), which is due to be delivered during 2014.
