Renovation of the Carnavalet museum – History of Paris: one of the greatest cultural construction sites of Paris
This is the oldest museum in Paris, and also the biggest culturally significant construction project currently under way. The Carnavalet museum – History of Paris will reopen in late 2019-early 2020 after major renovations, some of which are being performed by Ouvrages Publics (Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction). Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France Rénovation Privée and Bouygues Energies & Services were selected by the Paris Pinault Collection to oversee the Bourse de Commerce renovation project. The 18-month project will transform the former 19th-century Halle au Blé (corn exchange) into a contemporary art museum blending cultural heritage and modernity.
Having carried out the design and construction of phases 1A, 1B and 2A of the Istrie motorway between 1997 and 2011, Bouygues Travaux Publics, an affiliate of Bouygues Construction, was selected to deliver phase 2B1 of the project, including the widening of the lanes to a 2x2 format in the toll road section between Rogovići in the west of the peninsula and Vranja in the east. This represents a further opportunity for the Group to participate in the region’s transformation and boost its economic momentum.
