Building and Civil Works generates 250 million tonnes of waste per year. Today, only 40% of this waste is reclaimed, yet the Energy Transition Act imposes a threshold of 70%, to be reached by 2020. Bouygues Construction and Centrale Lille formed Chaire Construction 4.0 in 2017, to support the digitalisation and industrialisation of the sector. We met with PhD student Andry Zaïd Rabenantoandro, whose thesis is on 3D printing in construction.
