Located in the centre of Carquefou, the Le Courtil property development operation was launched in 2014 after the Louis Armand primary school moved to the neighbouring land, freeing up the site of the operation. Linkcity Grand Ouest saw an opportunity to develop a housing operation for the elderly and approached the community to put forward the proposal.
The property complex will comprise 62 housing units for the elderly, including 23 social housing units, 12 affordable housing units and 27 private housing units, resulting in real social diversity. The site will house a communal area which will be open to all residents and put on events in partnership with the Carquefou CCAS (Communal Centre for Social Action). Finally, the residence will also have a social facility of approximately 200 m² on the ground floor.
Work on the property complex began in November 2016 and will be completed at the end of January 2018. It is being carried out by Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest, a regional subsidiary of Bouygues Construction.
Bouygues Construction takes a close interest in the changing lifestyle of the elderly and the new vision of their living space, so that it can design housing that meets their new requirements.
