Dragages Hong Kong
A next-generation logistics hub at Hong Kong International Airport
Dragages Hong Kong, a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered the Transit Mail Centre (TMC) at Hong Kong International Airport, under a design-and-build contract awarded by the Airport Authority Hong Kong.
The project consists of a new two-storey facility providing both airside and landside access, designed to support high-performance mail logistics operations. The scope of works included the construction of the main building and auxiliary facilities, full building services installations, external and landscaping works, as well as associated civil works, for a total floor area of 11,300 m².
The Transit Mail Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art mail sorting technologies, positioning it as one of the most advanced logistics hubs in Hong Kong. The project also showcases Dragages Hong Kong’s expertise in digital construction, with the extensive use of full-scale Building Information Modelling (BIM) to optimise coordination, design accuracy and construction efficiency.
Delivered under a NEC4 Option C contract, the project required close collaboration with both the client and the future operator. This integrated approach enabled the alignment of functional requirements, operational performance and delivery objectives, ensuring a facility fully adapted to the airport’s logistics needs.
