Bouygues UK, acting as developer in partnership with the London Borough of Newham, is delivering Hallsville Quarter - one of London’s most significant urban regeneration projects and a key part of the £3.7 billion Canning Town and Custom House Regeneration Programme. Hallsville Quarter establishes a lasting legacy for Canning Town, creating a thriving town centre and acting as the catalyst for wider transformation across East London.
Delivered across five phases, the scheme provides approximately 1,100 new homes in a mix of tenures, 30,000 m² of leisure and retail space, a range of community facilities, 1,100 secure parking spaces, and enhanced pedestrian and cycling connectivity. The development creates new public spaces and amenities to support a dynamic, prosperous district for residents and businesses alike.

Phased delivery for a multi-purpose urban community
- Phase 1: A 7,500 m² foodstore sits above a basement car park, topped by 179 new homes around a landscaped shared garden. The phase features an energy centre serving the entire masterplan.
- Phase 2: Delivers 160 private-sale homes, 134 Private Rented Sector (PRS) homes, and 55 affordable homes, as well as a 196-bed hotel, gym, medical centre, retail and restaurant spaces, 300 parking spaces, and bicycle storage. This phase connects directly to the underground station, enhancing accessibility. Shared amenities: A 3,000 m² podium offers lawns, play and barbecue areas, cycle storage, and landscaped gardens for all residents.
- Phase 3: Creates a new civic square, park, and pedestrian-friendly high street surrounded by retail, cafes, restaurants, and outdoor dining. 620 new homes across eight buildings are arranged around podium garden courtyards, with an additional health centre and 8,500 m² of commercial space.
- Phases 4 & 5: Will complete the scheme with commercial office space, student accommodation, and more retail and leisure facilities.
