Renovation and elevation of a Belle Epoque building.

After three and a half years of work carried out by Richelmi, this unusual project came to fruition. It consisted mainly of:

  • Adding three floors to a six-story building dating from 1905, in order to create ten new apartments. The rental income generated helps to support the most disadvantaged.
  • Renovating all common areas, creating and modernizing elevator shafts, and installing a transformer room and a generator room.

Located in a seismic zone, the project required the implementation of innovative technical solutions from the design phase onwards:

  • The choice of a metal structure for the extension, accompanied by reinforcement of the building's foundations, columns, and load-bearing beams to absorb the new loads.
  • The use of a lightweight and innovative facade complex, composed of metal cladding panels.
