Modularity and refined acoustics
Located in Floirac, on the right bank of the Garonne River, the Arkéa Arena is one of the major cultural and event venues in the Bordeaux metropolitan area.
Designed to host concerts, sporting events, performances, and major events, this modular venue can accommodate between 2,500 and 11,000 spectators depending on the configuration.
Built under a design-build-operate-maintain contract, it meets the high standards of performance, versatility, and comfort expected of a world-class facility.
At the heart of the project, a motorized retractable seating system allows the venue’s configuration to be quickly adapted to each type of event.
This exceptional modularity, combined with meticulous acoustics and state-of-the-art technical equipment, positions the Arena as a premier venue for live entertainment.

Iconic architecture by Rudy Ricciotti
Designed by architect Rudy Ricciotti, the Arena stands out for its sculptural silhouette, reminiscent of a white concrete boulder resting on the banks of the Garonne. The building combines a glass base with a monolithic, double-curved structure, whose sloping facades—pierced by luminous windows—evoke a digital equalizer.
This unique architectural style gives the facility a strong identity, visible from the city’s major thoroughfares.
Beyond its aesthetics, the structure represents a technical feat, utilizing significant volumes of concrete and a long-span steel frame.
It is also part of the urban transformation of the ZAC des Quais, contributing to the area’s appeal and the development of a new business hub on the right bank.
Certified HQE™ in operation and built in partnership with a network of local businesses, the Arkéa Arena thus embodies a sustainable, high-performance, and iconic facility that serves to enhance the cultural and economic influence of Bordeaux Métropole
