Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre

Completed in 2020 by A W Edwards, the major upgrade to Ken Rosewall Arena and the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre has transformed this iconic sports precinct into a state-of-the-art, all-weather multi-event facility.

The project included staged demolition of the existing roof, significant structural upgrades, and the installation of an innovative cable-tensioned net roof covering the entire stadium. Brand new services were installed including advanced sports lighting, communications, security, and PA systems. Upgrades to the broadcast and media facilities, such as new scoreboards, further enhance the venue’s capability to host world-class events.

A major feature is the new removable sports flooring, allowing seamless transition from international tennis tournaments like the ATP Cup to top-flight Netball NSW events. The project also included 10,000 new spectator seats, enhanced amenities, and improved back-of-house and staff facilities.
