Improving commuter access at Merrylands Station

A W Edwards, a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered the Merrylands Commuter Car Park as part of the Transport for NSW Access Program, improving parking capacity, accessibility and connections to Merrylands Station and the nearby bus interchange.

The design and construct project redeveloped the existing car park across two locations, including a new multi-deck facility at Terminal Place and an at-grade car park at Railway Terrace. The works delivered additional commuter parking, including six accessible spaces, and improved day-to-day access for public transport users.

The project also integrated new vertical circulation and safety features, with new lifts and stairs connecting the car park to the station and bus interchange, alongside CCTV security cameras and landscaping works. Opened to the public in August 2018, the upgraded facility supports smoother, safer and more accessible daily journeys for commuters.
