Archisobre: much more than a low-carbon concept building

Bouygues Construction is committed to reducing the carbon impact of the construction sector through the very low-carbon model illustrated by the Archisobre concept. We were supported in developing the project by Franck Boutté Consultants, an environmental design and engineering firm. Three renowned architecture firms then interpreted and enhanced the concept:

  • NeM/Niney et Marca Architectes.
  • Coldefy.
  • Martin Duplantier Architectes

Archisobre pushes the boundaries by prioritising material efficiency through detailed analysis of the building’s form, precise design in terms of technological simplicity, structural use of wood, circular economy principles, and the use of bio-based materials such as raw earth. It reduces the average carbon footprint of newly built offices by a factor of three and achieves a level 40% below the RE2031 targets.
