Transforming the way we build
A vision focused on innovation and sustainability
At Bouygues Construction, industrialisation and off-site construction are part of our overall strategy for innovation and environmental transition.
They address all sorts of challenges, from productivity to reducing environmental impact and improving working conditions.
In keeping with our commitment to more sustainable construction, this approach reflects our dedication to supporting our clients in delivering high-performance, responsible projects.
Inspired by methods that have been tried and tested in other industrial sectors and adapted to the specific needs of construction, this approach optimises every stage of the process, from initial design to commissioning, all while strengthening the relevancy of the projects.
It makes best practices more easily reproducible, minimises any unforeseen problems and paves the way for innovations that can be quickly implemented.

A unique approach to off-site construction
Our approach to off-site construction is open and hybrid. Thanks to our ecosystem of industrial partners and our in-house expertise, we are able to draw on and combine a variety of solutions: multi-product, multi-material, multi-component and multi-finish.
It allows us to address a wide range of challenges and objectives: large-scale production, speed and adaptation both to the urban context and to technical, regulatory, environmental and architectural constraints.
Today, to boost our growth, we are focusing on:
- Anticipating manufacturing and assembly designs and ensuring its reliability
- Digitalising processes to improve performance
- Standardising without imposing uniformity
- Developing a high-performance logistics process
- Involving the entire supply chain

BYWall, a success story of industrialisation
The widespread drive to improve the energy efficiency of residential buildings has prompted Bouygues Construction's R&D Innovation teams to develop BYWall, a system of prefabricated, portable insulating façade panels.
Manufactured from bio-based materials such as wood for the structure and cotton wool for insulation, these panels are a significant step forward in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability.
