Our aim: a fairer, more open and more inclusive society

Creating social value for regions and communities

We consider every project to be an opportunity to contribute significantly to the community in which we operate. Our teams are committed to initiatives that have a social impact, in line with our values of mutual support and responsibility.

Part of this approach is our strong dedication to the professional integration of disadvantaged and disabled people through partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders. We collaborate with community groups and initiatives to support training programmes for young people from disadvantaged areas and assist those pursuing non-traditional career paths. These actions reflect our role as a responsible and committed company, contributing to a more supportive social fabric.

We implement social initiatives around the world to support local communities, whether through skills-based sponsorships (such as in Madagascar), disaster relief efforts (such as in Morocco), initiatives to combat poverty (such as in Hong Kong), and support for indigenous populations (such as in Australia).

Taking action for inclusivity and diversity

We promote an open corporate culture where diverse backgrounds, cultures and perspectives are seen as sources of creativity and performance.

With this in mind, we run awareness and training programmes to promote equal opportunities, encourage respect for differences and foster a high-quality working environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any breaches of our Code of Conduct. The ‘Speak Up’ whistleblowing platform enables our employees and job applicants to report any discriminatory behaviour they believe they have experienced.

We take proactive and incentive-based measures to promote gender diversity within our teams. We are striving to increase the representation of women in the traditionally male-dominated construction sector, in large part through targeted recruitment campaigns, training programmes for women and mentoring schemes. Our goal is for women to fill 30% of our management positions by 2027.

Gender Equality Index

Since 2019, companies have been asked to measure their performance in terms of professional equality and to publish the results of their “gender equality index” on their websites. This index, expressed as a score out of 100 with a minimum pass mark set by the government at 75 points, is composed of five indicators covering:

  • The pay gap between women and men
  • The proportion of women and men receiving pay raises
  • The proportion of women and men receiving promotions
  • The percentage of women receiving pay raises upon their return from maternity leave
  • The number of women and men among the 10 highest-paid employees in the company
