A highly specialised pharmaceutical facility in Warsaw
KARMAR, the Polish subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered a new pharmaceutical facility for Tarchomińskie Zakłady Farmaceutyczne Polfa S.A. (TZF Polfa) at its production site in Warsaw. Dedicated to the manufacture of oncology and immunosuppressive drugs, the project is one of the largest pharmaceutical developments delivered in Poland.
Acting as general contractor since 2022, KARMAR delivered the construction and installation of the new Sterile Forms Production Department and R&D Laboratories building. The three-storey facility comprises a new lyophilisation unit, a Highly Potent Drug manufacturing plant and R&D laboratories, together with the associated specialised equipment.
The first facility of its kind in Poland designed for Highly Potent drug production, the project required exceptional engineering precision and stringent contamination control across all building systems. Following the formal completion of the works in March 2026, KARMAR continues to draw on its detailed technical knowledge of the facility to support TZF Polfa with process and product qualification and preparations for audits.
