A comprehensive sports complex in the heart of Bata
Bouygues Bâtiment INternational delivered the Bata Sports Complex, a multi-purpose facility developed on the site of the city’s stadium to provide modern infrastructure for a wide range of sporting disciplines.
The complex includes an Olympic-size swimming pool with a 50 x 25-metre basin and covered seating for 840 spectators, as well as a multi-purpose indoor sports hall with 884 seats. Designed to accommodate basketball, volleyball, indoor football, handball and gymnastics, the hall also provides facilities for combat sports including boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo and kung fu. A dedicated accommodation building comprising 100 rooms completes the development, creating an integrated environment for athletes, sporting events and spectators.

Purpose-built facilities for a wide range of sports
Designed as a comprehensive sporting destination, the complex combines facilities tailored to both aquatic and indoor disciplines. The Olympic-size swimming pool features diving boards and depths ranging from 2 metres to 3.8 metres in the diving area, while its covered grandstand provides dedicated seating for spectators.
The adjacent sports hall offers a 44 x 29-metre playing area and grandstands on two sides, creating a flexible venue capable of hosting numerous team, individual and combat sports. The project also involved 15,000 m² of external works and 7,800 m³ of concrete, reflecting the scale of the infrastructure delivered as part of the development.
