Chemistry Faculty of Ashgabat

Bouygues Turkmen, a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered the Chemistry Faculty of Ashgabat, a turnkey university project completed in just 14 months in the capital of Turkmenistan.

Designed to provide optimal working conditions for teaching staff and researchers, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and educational infrastructure. The project forms part of the continued expansion of a rapidly developing university campus, supporting Turkmenistan’s ambitious strategy for higher education and scientific research.

The new faculty is organised around a main building flanked by two wings, complemented by a student residence accommodating 644 students, parking facilities and outdoor sports grounds. Spread across several hectares, the campus contributes to positioning Ashgabat as a leading academic centre in Central Asia.

The chemistry faculty offers a wide range of dedicated academic spaces, including 24 classrooms, 26 chemistry laboratories, 11 auditoriums, 10 computer rooms, and eight language laboratories. The facility also includes two programming laboratories and two studios dedicated to robotics and 3D printing, supporting multidisciplinary learning and innovation.

This project supplements an already extensive academic campus developed by Bouygues Turkmen, which has previously delivered several major university buildings in Ashgabat, including the Magtymguly university main building, the faculty of geography, the faculty of mathematics and physics, the Institute of international relations and the international university.

By combining speed of execution, technical expertise and educational functionality, the chemistry faculty of Ashgabat reinforces Bouygues Turkmen’s proven experience in delivering large-scale, turnkey university projects.
