Évry wastewater treatment plant

In Évry, in the Essonne department, the wastewater treatment plant, which was commissioned in 1974 and restructured in the 1990s, underwent modernization work that was completed in 2009. Four buildings clad in wood siding make up the new facilities designed to increase treatment capacity to the equivalent of 250,000 inhabitants.

Carried out for the urban community, the project included additional design studies and process reinforcement work on the operational site in order to sustainably optimize the hydraulic and environmental performance of the facility.

The work included the demolition and rehabilitation of existing structures, the construction of underground and semi-underground watertight basins, the covering of structures in service, and the construction of architectural and industrial buildings. The project involved earthworks, backfilling, underground pipes, deep foundations using micropiles and rigid inclusions, metal structures, and waterproofing injections.

Carried out in an operational environment, the project also included roads, architectural fencing, and landscaping. Today, the complex reconnects the city to the Seine via an educational trail dedicated to the water cycle.
