The Ivry Les Tennis housing operation was launched on 21 January 2017. This housing project, carried out by Linkcity Ile-de-France, a property development subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, provided an opportunity to confirm Linkcity Ile-de-France’s commitment to Art and Culture.

A commitment to Art and Culture

The aim of the “One building, one work of art” charter, signed in December 2015 by 13 major construction sector operators, is to commission a contemporary artist every time a new building is constructed or existing housing is renovated. Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, a signatory of this charter, thus commits to painting, sculpture and architecture being an integral part of projects!

The Ivry Les Tennis housing operation in Ivry sur Seine, Val-de-Marne, offers a perfect example, as the property programme, carried out in collaboration with the gallery Fernand Léger and the artist Edouard Sautai, has integrated sculptures into the new Rue Germaine Tillion.

A new housing pool

Designed by the architecture firm Cenci & Jacquot, the Ivry Les Tennis operation was constructed on the site of the former municipal tennis courts at the edge of the Parc des Cormailles. This programme covers over 12,000 m² and includes residential buildings sold as part of a home-ownership scheme, rental properties and a residence for young professionals. The complex will also include a municipal crèche.

The housing was delivered three months early: three and a half months for the young professionals’ residence, three months for the home-ownership scheme with Nexity and two months for the social housing.
