Four solar farms supporting Thailand’s renewable energy growth
Bouygues-Thai, a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered four photovoltaic solar farms in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani provinces for Prime Road Group (PRG).
The joint venture was appointed as EPC contractor, responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all four solar plants. Delivered within just eight months, the project provides a combined capacity of 18 MWdc, contributing to Thailand’s renewable energy production.
This integrated approach enabled the teams to manage the full project lifecycle, from engineering and construction to long-term operational performance, while ensuring consistency across several sites delivered in parallel.

Fast-track delivery under complex climatic conditions
The project was delivered under demanding geographical and climatic constraints. To protect the sites from flooding, the teams built a three-metre-high embankment, while thin-film solar modules developed by First Solar were selected to perform in Thailand’s hot weather conditions.
The construction phase required exceptional coordination and speed. Within only four months, the teams installed 8,405 concrete piles to support 1,319 mounts and 201,720 solar panels. In parallel, 63 km of trenches were built and 162 km of cables were laid.
At peak activity, more than 500 people were mobilised on site to ensure on-time delivery. The project demonstrates the Group’s ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy infrastructure with strong technical discipline, rapid execution and solutions adapted to local environmental conditions.
