Bouygues Turkmen, a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, delivered the Arkadag Hotel in Ashgabat, a large-scale five-star hospitality project designed to offer a premium destination at the foothills of the Kopet Dag mountains.
Located on a 22-hectare site between Archabil and Chandybil avenues, the hotel combines high-end accommodation with a wide range of leisure and business facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a spa, restaurants, meeting rooms and a multi-purpose ballroom. The development offers 300 rooms, including suites and presidential suites, providing a comprehensive hospitality experience tailored to both international and official guests.
The architectural concept is structured around two distinct lobbies, each contributing to the identity of the project. The guest lobby, developed over five levels, features natural materials and light tones designed to maximise daylight and create a warm, contemporary atmosphere. In contrast, the formal lobby, marked by monumental columns and sculpted motifs, reflects the country's history and cultural heritage, reinforcing the building's symbolic dimension.
Delivered in 2021 despite a complex global context, the project demonstrates the ability of Bouygues Turkmen teams to manage ambitious schedules, technical complexity and evolving client requirements, while maintaining a high level of quality and execution. The Arkadag Hotel stands today as a major reference in the Group's luxury hospitality portfolio and illustrates its expertise in delivering large-scale, high-end developments in demanding environments.
