Bouygues Bâtiment International
Modernising Madagascar’s main international gateways.
Bouygues Bâtiment International delivered a transformative 28-year concession to upgrade and operate Madagascar’s two principal airports: Ivato (Antananarivo) and Fascene (Nosy Be). Under the leadership of Ravinala Airports - a consortium including Groupe ADP, Bouygues, Colas, and Meridiam - the project included designing, financing, constructing, and operating new and refurbished terminal and runway infrastructure to meet rapidly growing demand.
Phase one at Ivato, the nation’s capital airport, featured a brand new 17,500 m² international terminal with a capacity of 1.5 million passengers, comprehensive renovation of the existing domestic terminal, and full strengthening and resurfacing of the main runway. In Nosy Be’s touristic region, works focused on full runway and terminal refurbishment. Following the project, both airports were equipped to meet stringent technical and environmental standards, supporting Madagascar’s growing aviation needs.
