Born in 1953, Philippe Bonnave is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Lille engineering school. He started his career in 1977 as a works engineer at Nord-France Entreprise, where he later became Head of International and Overseas Operations. He came to the Bouygues Group in 1988 as Senior Vice President of GCA, the Group’s Bordeaux-based subsidiary. In 1997, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Entreprises France Centre Sud-Ouest, which he transformed into DV Construction in 1998.
In 1999, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Central and South-Western Europe, and Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Entreprises France-Europe (the regional subsidiaries of Bouygues Construction in France and Western Europe) in 2003. In June 2010, he was also appointed Chairman of Bouygues Travaux Publics.
He was appointed Deputy CEO of Bouygues Construction in August 2010 with particular responsibility for Bouygues Entreprises France-Europe, Bouygues Travaux Publics and the Concessions division.
Philippe Bonnave was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction in March 2015.
