A W Edwards
A future-ready mobility hub for Western Sydney
A W Edwards, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, delivered the Edmondson Park North Commuter Car Park in Sydney, a next-generation mobility infrastructure project designed to support the rapid development of Western Sydney while improving connectivity for daily commuters.
Developed for Transport for NSW, the project consists of a commuter car park with ground level plus six suspended floors, providing approximately 900 parking spaces alongside integrated mobility solutions. Designed with long-term adaptability in mind, the facility includes increased ground-floor heights allowing for future retail conversion, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and provisions for future operational systems such as boom gates.
Beyond its transport function, the project also places strong emphasis on architectural integration. Its feature façade combines infrastructure performance with urban identity, helping the building integrate into the surrounding public realm while reinforcing the visual quality of the precinct

Setting new sustainability standards for infrastructure projects
The project stands out for its ambitious environmental strategy and the implementation of innovative low-carbon construction methods aimed at significantly reducing emissions during both construction and operation.
Among the key initiatives deployed on site were AI-powered energy monitoring systems, portable battery systems replacing diesel generators and hydrogen generators, contributing to major reductions in fuel consumption and environmental impact throughout the works.
The development also integrates long-term sustainability solutions, including a metal deck roof equipped with rooftop solar panels, electric vehicle infrastructure and advanced resource management measures. These efforts enabled the project to achieve the highest possible Platinum rating under the Sustainability Design Guidelines v4.0.
With its combination of sustainable construction methods, operational flexibility and resilient infrastructure design, Edmondson Park establishes a strong benchmark for the future of mobility infrastructure in Australia.
