HEC Paris is reinventing its campus in the heart of the forest

At its Jouy-en-Josas campus, HEC Paris aims to offer its future students and staff a unique experience through a new vision of learning and hospitality in a redesigned living space set amidst the forest.

The works, divided between the Upper and Lower Campuses, will focus on:

  • The construction of the future “Cœur de Campus” building, which will house the new main hall, HEC’s Grand Auditorium, the Learning Centre and large co-working spaces. This new landmark will be accessible from the site’s completely redesigned main entrance.
  • The complete refurbishment of the historic academic building and the various historic buildings currently used as offices for the teaching staff.
  • The partial renovation of the Château, the refurbishment of the Nordling rooms, and the renovation and complete reconstruction of the Château’s Communs. These buildings, which make up the Lower Campus, will house the Executive Education and EMBA programmes.

The project, conceived by the architectural firms Snøhetta, NeM / NINEY ET MARCA ARCHITECTES and Agence Pierre-Antoine Gatier, alongside interior designer RF STUDIO, landscape architect Michel Desvigne, Atelier Franck Boutté and Egis Bâtiment, bears a sustainable and modern signature.

The project aims to be particularly green: sustainable buildings, permeable surfaces, planted trees, and a greater emphasis on soft mobility with more footpaths and cycle paths.

Energy efficiency will also be a key focus, with energy generation on rooftops, bioclimatic façades designed to optimise natural light, passive ventilation and the renovation of existing buildings by redesigning their envelopes with high-performance materials.

Work, led by teams from Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, will begin at the end of 2026.
