161 sustainable housing units in the heart
of Mérignac
Located in Mérignac, the Castorama development is part of the urban transformation of the area, featuring a mixed-use residential project comprising 161 housing units. Designed to meet the diverse needs of the community, the complex combines social rental housing, affordable homeownership, and assisted homeownership programs to promote residential diversity and ensure access to housing for all. Led by Clairsienne and built by Bouygues Bâtiment Centre Sud-Ouest, the project actively contributes to the renewal of the urban fabric while offering a high-quality living environment for future residents.
The development consists of two buildings whose architecture was designed to promote a variety of uses and a high quality of living. Each unit features an outdoor space—a balcony, terrace, loggia, or garden—offering an extension into the outdoors and unobstructed views of the surrounding landscaped areas.
This abundance of outdoor space helps improve residents’ daily comfort while reinforcing the project’s architectural identity. With its 161 units, the Castorama block thus constitutes a new, sustainable, and attractive living environment in the heart of the Bordeaux metropolitan area.
