Benoît de Ruffray: Chief operating officer of Bouygues Bâtiment International
Benoît de Ruffray, 41, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Bouygues Bâtiment International, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction.
He takes responsibility for Bouygues Bâtiment International's operations in China, Central Asia, the Middle East and some Central European countries.
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Imperial College London, Benoît de Ruffray began his career in 1990 with the Bouygues group. He started out at Bouygues Travaux Publics, where he held a number of positions until 2003. He also managed several major projects, including the Beirut seafront development, before becoming head of the Latin America region in 2001. In 2003 he was named CEO of Dragages Hong Kong, a Bouygues Construction subsidiary. In this capacity, he also supervised Bouygues Travaux Publics' operations in the Asia-Pacific region and Bouygues Bâtiment International's operations in China.
