Bouygues Construction holds its second convention for suppliers on the theme of innovation

On November 25, 2014, Bouygues Construction Purchasing, the Procurement network of Bouygues Construction, will gather together approximately 300 participants representing its major suppliers alongside its French and international purchasing, technical and R&D managers at Challenger, the Group’s head office, to discuss future challenges facing the Group and prospects for joint developments.

Through a programme consisting of presentations, round tables, videos, testimonies from suppliers and speeches given by Group managers and executives, the Purchasing Suppliers Meeting will also be an ideal opportunity to discuss such important issues as innovation, digital modelling and globalisation, and to put into perspective the purchasing strategy defined by three key priorities: standardisation, contract management and support for suppliers in the context of the Group’s international development.

Franck Le Guillou, Bouygues Construction Purchasing Director, said: “This meeting is an opportunity to reassure our suppliers that we are seeking to develop long-term relations based on the shared creation of value through working collaboratively with our partners. Alongside them, we want to speed up the quest for innovations, particularly to meet new challenges relating to digital modelling, and so to encourage the most competitive, innovative and sustainable solutions.”

Bouygues Construction Purchasing will also present trophies rewarding its most innovative supplier-partners in its various business areas. Bouygues Construction Purchasing itself won a prize in the “Supplier Innovation” category in the Purchasing Trophies 2014 awarded by the CDAF (the French association of purchasing executives).

All purchasing categories at Bouygues Construction will be represented at this meeting: structural works, building exterior, internal technical works and industrial products, internal architectural works, equipment, services and non-production.

With its panel of suppliers, Bouygues Construction Purchasing retains a focus on sustainable procurement and is committed to acting in a responsible and innovative manner when purchasing supplies or services. Approximately 2,400 suppliers were assessed in 2014. Through partnerships and joint developments, the Group’s Purchasing division is also active alongside their suppliers as they imagine the solutions, technologies, materials and equipment of tomorrow.
