Senior appointments at Bouygues Construction
Jean-Philippe Trin has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ETDE, the Bouygues Construction subsidiary specialising in electrical contracting and maintenance.
At a meeting held on 19 November 2009, the Board of Directors of ETDE appointed Jean-Philippe Trin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, on the recommendation of Yves Gabriel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction and a board member of ETDE. Mr Trin succeeds Gaëtan Desruelles in the position.
Jean-Philippe Trin, 47, graduated from the ESTP engineering school and holds an MS degree from Northwestern University. He joined Bouygues in 1987, starting out as a site manager with DTP Terrassement. He joined VSL in 1994, taking charge of VSL Hong Kong. In 1997, he was appointed Senior Vice President of VSL International, with responsibility for the whole of Asia, Central Europe and the Middle East. In January 2000 he was appointed CEO of VSL International and Intrafor in 2001. Mr Trin was named Chairman and CEO of VSL International and Chairman and CEO of DTP Terrassement in March 2004. He is also Board member of the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics.
Daniel Rigout has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VSL International and DTP Terrassement, the subsidiaries that constitute Bouygues Construction's specialist civil works division.
On the recommendation of their members, the Board of Directors of DTP Terrassement, meeting on 19 November 2009, and the Board of Directors of VSL International, meeting on 23 November 2009, appointed Daniel Rigout as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr Rigout replaces Jean-Philippe Trin in this role.
Daniel Rigout, 55, graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris and the Centre des Hautes Études de la Construction. He held a number of posts in the Vinci group as of 1978 until joining Bouygues in 1988. He began by managing civil engineering operations at Quille before being appointed General Manager of building subsidiaries in western France in 1991. In 1997 he became General Manager for subsidiaries in northern France and Belgium. He was appointed deputy CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International in 2001.
He has also been Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Ecole Centrale Paris since 2005.
