Fibre To The Home Network in the Oise department
Bouygues Energies & Services and its subsidiary Axione were selected by the Syndicat Mixte Oise Très Haut Débit (SMOTHD), in a consortium with Sobeca, to carry out the first phase of optical fibre deployment in the Oise department. Twenty-one towns in the department have been involved since 2014. Priority is given to towns where high speed ADSL internet connections are poor. This first phase is part of the "Broadband everywhere and for everyone" plan, which aims to equip the entire department with a 100% optical fibre network, right down to the "individual" subscriber. A total of 136,000 FTTH (Fibre To The Home) connectors were deployed, outside areas where the Department intervene due to private operator initiatives.
