First smartcity Dijon
In partnership with SUEZ and Capgemini, the Bouygues Energies & Services and Citelum (EDF group) consortium is building France’s very first smart city, in Dijon. The city has assigned the management of all stages of this major project to the consortium: from design and construction to the operation and maintenance of a centralised, connected control station, which will enable the region’s urban infrastructure—such as transport and public lighting—to be controlled remotely.
The 100% LED public lighting remotely managed with CityBox® adapts to the presence of pedestrians and vehicles in real time. It thus helps reduce the network’s electricity consumption. This energy saving enables the city of Dijon to be a part of a more sustainable approach.
